Privacy Policy
July 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SportsDelulu handles information when you visit and read our website. We designed the site to be read freely, without accounts or sign-ups, and this policy tells you exactly what is collected, who collects it, why, and what choices you have.
Introduction and scope
SportsDelulu (https://sportsdelulu.com) is an independent, multilingual football and sports news website. We publish news, live scores, match coverage, and pages about teams and competitions in seven languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Italian. Our current editorial focus is the FIFA World Cup 2026. The site is free to read and is supported by advertising.
This policy covers information collected through the SportsDelulu website. It applies to all visitors, in every language and region we serve. It does not cover the practices of the third-party companies whose tools we use, except to describe what those tools do on our site and to link you to their own policies.
SportsDelulu is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA, any football league, federation, or club. Team, league, and competition names and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used only for identification and editorial purposes.
This policy is effective as of 5 July 2026. The operator of SportsDelulu is [Company Legal Name], and the “we,” “us,” and “our” in this document refer to that operator.
Information we collect
SportsDelulu is a static website. Visitors do not create accounts, do not sign in, and there are no newsletter or contact forms that collect personal data. As a result, we do not directly collect your name, email address, or any account credentials, because there are no accounts, registrations, or data-entry forms on the site.
The information that is collected comes almost entirely from analytics and advertising tools and from standard server operation. Specifically:
- Usage and interaction data. Through our analytics providers, we receive information about how the site is used: which pages you view, how long you stay, how you navigate between pages, clicks, scrolling, and similar interactions. One of our tools also records session replays and heatmaps, which show anonymized patterns of how visitors move through a page.
- Device, browser, and connection data. Analytics and server logs receive technical details such as your device type, operating system, browser, screen or viewport size, language settings, the referring website or link that brought you here, an approximate location derived from your network address, and your IP address.
- Advertising interaction data. Google AdSense receives data about the ads shown to you, including impressions, clicks, and frequency, together with cookies and device identifiers used to serve, cap, and measure advertising, and to personalize ads where permitted.
- Search queries. When you use the on-site search, the words you type are processed to return matching articles. The search runs to give you results; we do not ask for or attach any identifying information to a search.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and we do not ask you to provide any personal details anywhere on the site.
How we use information
We use the information described above for a limited set of purposes:
- To deliver and secure the site. Server requests and logs let us serve pages reliably through our hosting and content-delivery network, diagnose errors, and detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security threats.
- To measure and improve usage. Analytics data helps us understand which articles and features are useful, how the site performs, and where the experience can be improved across languages and devices.
- To show and measure advertising. Advertising data allows our advertising partner to display ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure whether ads are viewed or clicked, and, subject to your consent, personalize the ads you see.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not use the data to build profiles that identify you by name, because we never receive your name.
Cookies and similar technologies
SportsDelulu and its providers use cookies and similar technologies in the following categories:
- Advertising cookies, set by Google, to serve, cap, and measure ads and to support ad personalization where permitted.
- Analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics 4 (for example,
_ga) and by Microsoft Clarity, to measure and understand usage.
In addition, your theme preference (light or dark mode) is stored locally in your browser using local storage. This is a convenience setting that stays on your device. It is not a cookie and is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, all advertising and analytics storage is consent-gated, which means the cookies and identifiers above are not set until you agree. See the next section for how consent works and how to change it.
Consent and your choices
SportsDelulu implements Google Consent Mode v2 and uses Google’s Privacy and messaging consent management platform (also known as Funding Choices) to gather and respect your consent choices.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you are shown a consent choice when you arrive, and both advertising storage and analytics storage default to denied until you consent. Nothing that relies on that storage runs until you agree. If you are located elsewhere, storage defaults to granted, consistent with local rules.
You can change your choice at any time. Where the consent tool is available, you can reopen it from the on-site privacy or consent control to grant or withdraw permission. You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies, use private or incognito browsing, and, where offered, enable “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals, which we honor where legally required.
Advertising
Advertising on SportsDelulu is provided by Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-2832758809598810). Google serves display and in-article advertising and uses cookies and device identifiers to show ads, cap how often you see them, and measure their performance.
Ads may be personalized (based on prior activity and inferred interests) or non-personalized (based only on context and general information such as approximate location), depending on your consent and settings. Where consent is required, personalized advertising runs only after you agree.
You can control advertising in several ways:
- Manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
- Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at aboutads.info/choices.
- Manage preferences for European users at youronlinechoices.eu.
Analytics
We use several analytics tools to understand how the site is used:
- Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, which sets analytics cookies to measure usage.
- Microsoft Clarity, loaded through Google Tag Manager, which provides product analytics including session replay and heatmaps.
- Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly, aggregate, cookieless analytics tool.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy. For details on how Google, Microsoft, and Vercel handle the data they collect, please review their respective privacy policies, which you can find on their websites.
Third-party services and links
Our articles may link to external news sources and other websites for reference and further reading. Those sites are operated by other organizations, and their own privacy policies and terms govern your use of them. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites, and a link does not imply endorsement. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit through our links.
Legal bases for processing
For visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR and equivalent laws:
- Consent for advertising and analytics cookies and the related processing. You give consent through the consent tool, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests for delivering the site, keeping it secure, maintaining server logs, and preventing abuse and fraud. We balance these interests against your rights and use the minimum data needed for these purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data.
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you may have the right to: access the data held about you; request correction (rectification) of inaccurate data; request erasure; request restriction of processing; object to processing; request portability of data you provided; withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already took place; and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Under the California CCPA and CPRA, you may have the right to: know what personal information is collected and how it is used; request deletion; request correction; and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Please note that ad personalization through our advertising partner may be considered “sharing” under California law. You can opt out using the advertising controls described above.
Because we do not operate accounts and do not hold data that directly identifies you by name or email, much of the data connected to you sits with our analytics and advertising providers. The most effective way to exercise choices over that data is often through the providers’ own controls, especially Google’s ad and privacy settings at adssettings.google.com, together with your browser and consent settings. To make a request directly to us, or if you have questions about your rights, contact us at [Contact Email] and we will respond as required by applicable law.
International data transfers
SportsDelulu serves a global audience, and our providers operate globally. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries by Google, Vercel, and Microsoft. Where data is transferred out of the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the relevant authorities, along with the additional measures those providers apply.
Data retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Retention is largely determined by our providers’ default settings:
- Analytics data is retained according to the configured defaults of Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and Vercel Analytics.
- Advertising data is retained by Google under its own retention practices.
- Server logs kept by our hosting and content-delivery provider are retained for a limited period sufficient for delivery, security, and abuse prevention, and are then deleted or aggregated.
Children’s privacy
SportsDelulu is a general-audience news site and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us at [Contact Email] and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our providers, or the law. When we make material changes, we will update the date shown on this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically so you stay informed about how we handle information.
